Marketplace Rules

Last updated October 1, 2026

Why these rules exist

KriCert connects homeowners with verified contractors. Fair fees keep verification, support and the platform running.

Keep contact details on KriCert

Until a homeowner picks a contractor and that contractor unlocks the job's contact details, don't share phone numbers, email addresses, web addresses or social media handles in job posts, responses, quotes, scope items or notes. KriCert blocks most messages that include them, but it can't catch everything, so please follow this rule yourself.

Once a contractor is picked and the contact is unlocked, KriCert shares the details securely for you.

Don't avoid fees

Don't use KriCert to find work or workers and then take the job off the platform to avoid paying fees.

Don't ask for, offer or trade contact details to get around the unlock step, including by spelling them out or hiding them in photos.

Be honest and respectful

Describe jobs and your services accurately, keep quotes and scope clear, and treat the other person with respect. Don't post anything unlawful, misleading or abusive.

Reporting

If you see a post or response that breaks these rules (for example, someone shares contact details or asks you to), use the Report button on it. Reports are reviewed by our team.

What we may do

After a report, or if we notice a problem, we may remove content, ask you to change it, limit your access, or end your account. We'll look at each case on its facts.

Changes

We may update these rules; the date above shows the latest version. Using KriCert after a change means you accept it.
